August 2025: The Road to Regulatory Clarity
As global frameworks emerge, institutional participation accelerates. Our analysis of regulatory developments and their impact on perpetual futures markets.
For investors with a foundation of crypto knowledge seeking professional-grade execution, Royal Clover offers direct exposure to perpetual futures markets through proven strategies.

Crypto has spent more than a decade moving from an experiment to an asset class with its own market structure, institutions and regulation. As that structure has matured, one instrument has come to dominate how the market actually trades: the perpetual futures contract. Understanding why tells you a lot about where the opportunity in digital assets sits today.
On most major crypto venues, trading volume in perpetual futures routinely exceeds volume in the underlying spot markets. Traders, market makers and funds use perpetuals to express views, hedge inventory and manage risk because they are capital-efficient, available around the clock, and allow positions in either direction.
Liquidity matters because it determines what a systematic strategy can actually capture. Deep order books mean tighter spreads, lower slippage and the ability to enter and exit positions at the prices a model expects. Concentrating on the most liquid contracts is what allows a strategy to scale without its own trading moving the market against it.
Crypto trades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. News, liquidations and large flows hit the market at any hour, including weekends and holidays when traditional markets are shut. That creates repeated dislocations, but also makes it impractical for a person to monitor positions continuously. Automated systems do not sleep.
Perpetuals make going short as straightforward as going long. A strategy is not limited to waiting for rising prices; it can position for declines, trade ranges, or reduce exposure quickly when conditions change.
Because perpetuals are margined, a trader can control a position larger than the collateral posted. Used carefully, that frees capital and lets a strategy size positions precisely. Used carelessly, it is the fastest way to lose money in crypto, which is why risk management matters more than signal generation.
On-chain venues such as Hyperliquid record every trade, position and transfer on a public ledger. For the first time, a trading firm can publish its real account, rather than a marketing summary, and anyone can check it. That is why Royal Clover’s Live Performance page is read directly from the ledger rather than reported by hand.
None of this makes crypto derivatives safe. Volatility is high, leverage amplifies losses, liquidations can cascade, and exchange or software failures are possible. Past results, ours included, do not guarantee future performance. Anyone considering exposure should read our Risk Disclosures and only commit money they can afford to lose.
The macro case for crypto perpetuals is not about predicting the next bull market. It is that the deepest, most active part of the crypto market is open around the clock, trades in both directions and is increasingly transparent, which suits a disciplined, systematic approach. That is the market Royal Clover was built to trade.
